DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY SAY

DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY SAY
It never fails in Boston. When a pastor comes outside of the four walls of their church and raises their head above the crowd someone always try to cut it off.

WE MUST GO OUTSIDE
As a pastor in Boston my goal has been to win the lost to a personal relationship with the Son of God,  To minister inside of my church…and to challenge the church to engage those on the outside of the four walls of the church.

CHURCH, WAKE UP
The Black church is a sleeping giant in Boston. Many people are content to let the church just sleep through our families being murdered, politicians taking us for granted and people from outside of the community buying up all of the land that creates a mass exodus of Black folk from Boston.

OTHERS SPEAK THEIR MIND
White politicians, reporters or community activist speak their minds on any issue that affects this City or their neighborhood.  Why can’t I speak from my heart.

I was born and raised in Boston and I now have people who are from other cities and states telling me what I can and cannot say.

WAKE UP
The Black Christian church is a sleeping giant. It is time for the church to wake up and engage in the political, social and spiritual life of the City.

DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE
We have an election in three weeks and the stakes are high. Do not believe what the political pundits are saying that the mayoral or city council races have already been decided.

IT’S NOT OVER
Neither the Mayor nor City Councilor Flaherty can claim a victory. Only the candidates who do not have an opponent can say that they have already won their City Council seats.

I want every voter-registered church goer to study the candidates and make a decision as to who they will vote for on November 3, 2009.

I KNOW WHO I AM VOTING FOR
I have made my decision and I believe my candidates for City Council and Mayor will win the election.

YOUR CANDIDATE CAN WIN
Every resident of Roxbury, Dorchester and Mattapan must take their vote seriously and believe that their candidate can win.

ONE VOTE
Remember, a candidate can win with one vote.  Also, if you do not vote you cannot complain.

END

Vote

Thanks so much for this! Amen Amen and Amen!
Boston does need to wake up from their slumber how has Boston backslid so far from being a world-class city? Apathy, Sloth, Greed, Pride, Just like we need to examine ourselves daily to see if we be in the faith, we need to do the same politically….

The Black community cannot keep accepting only crumbs when we are worth and deserve a seat at the table.

We come from Malcolm X, Mel King, Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks where is the struggle now? Has this generation lost its voice?

    Wake up folks!
