Local Pastor uses AM radio to put the spotlight on
a neighborhood that needs love and assistance

THE MURDER CAPITAL
Boston was once the model city in fighting street crime and violence. Today, with a new police commissioner, a new gun court, and millions of dollars still coming to the city to fight crime, Boston is now the murder capital of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

THE WALK WILL START AT 5:00 PM
On Saturday, August 11, 2007, at 5:00 PM, a small band of people will meet Pastor Wall in front of his church at 670 Washington Street, Dorchester, MA to walk to an undisclosed location to pray and offer the residents love, help and protection.

THE NUMBER ONE CHRISTIAN RADIO STATION
At 6:00 PM, the entire walk will be broadcasted live on the #1 Christian radio station in Boston, i.e., WEZE 590 AM Radio.

THE POLICE WILL BE ASKED TO STAY AWAY
The police have been asked not to accompany the walk to this troubled area as residents, pastors and activists fight to secure the 10-blocks surrounding Global Ministries Christian Church. This fight is our fight and not the fight of the police. We have to have love, faith and willingness to lay down our lives for a cause that is right and just.

RADIO – OUR WEAPON OF CHOICE TO COMBAT CRIME
Through the medium of radio, we will expose what is happening to the thousands of listeners throughout New England, across the country and around the world by streaming the entire walk over the Internet. Pastor Wall stated, “From now on, my crusades to “take back” the streets will be broadcasted live over my two radio stations and aired, with one week turnaround time, on two cable television shows.”

The only way to motivate the city to stand together and take back the streets is to let the residents hear and see an actual “Take Back” while it is in progress. The media will only show 2 to 3 minutes of what we will do on Saturday. I will air one hour of our time in the streets live on the radio while it is actually happening.

THIS WILL BE A FIRST FOR BOSTON
This has never been done in the City of Boston. We are starting something new in Boston that will serve as a model for other pastors, activists and residents in other cities.
