Boston’s Black Community To Say Thank You To The Boston EMS

On Sunday, May 20, 2007, 11:00 AM, at the Global Ministries Christian Church, 670 Washington Street, Dorchester, MA, Pastor Bruce Wall, Senior Pastor of the Global Ministries Christian Church will say thank you to Chief Richard Serino and the Boston EMS personnel. The EMS staff and officers are planning to attend the church service and bring their family members.

THOUSANDS OF LIVES ARE BEING SAVED
For years, the Boston EMS personnel have saved the lives of hundreds and thousands of victims of street violence. If they did not respond to the many lives of those who were being shot daily on the streets of Boston, the homicide rate in our city would be significantly higher than 171 homicides since the ten-year high of 2005.

THEY SAVED THE LIFE OF PASTOR WALL
Pastor Wall, who is one of the chaplains for the Boston EMS, said that his life was saved in 1995 when he suffered a heart attack while serving as a Clerk-Magistrate in the Boston Juvenile Court. The Boston EMS rushed into the courthouse and speedily brought Pastor Wall to Massachusetts General Hospital where his life was saved.

THIS WILL BE AN ANNUAL SERVICE
Pastor Wall said, each year I would like to say thank you to the Boston EMS. Next year Pastor Wall will also like to say thank you to the MBTA Police for the work that they are doing throughout the state but especially in Boston. Since MBTA Transit police Chief Carter took over the helm of leading the MBTA police, the relationship between the MBTA and the youth of Boston has significantly improved.

WRCA 1300 AM RADIO
Pastor Wall will interview Chief Serino on his “Let’s Talk” broadcast on WRCA in the coming weeks. He wants to allow callers to say thank you to EMS Chief Richard Serino for the work that he and his EMS team are doing in the City of Boston.

All roads will lead to the Global Ministries Christian Church on Sunday morning, May 20th, as the community says thank you to the Boston EMS personnel.
